Hello, I’m Ava! I have been lucky enough to follow my passion for history and the ancient world, which has led to my study of Ancient History at the University of Bristol. In the past I have spent extensive time researching Hypatia of Alexandria which ignited my interest in women in history specifically in classics, which reconciled with my lifelong obsession of the antithetical female heroine (Jo March I'm looking at you). I have always been fascinated by the reliance of history on literature and vice versa, and  following the role of women and other underrepresented individuals past and present. I am a passionate advocate for both truth and the empowerment of those who have to fight against the current of society. Most importantly, I believe that every story deserves to be told, especially if belongs to those who cannot speak for themselves. More Rogue than Vogue is a project that means the world to me, and I’m very excited to share it with you all.
